Summer is one of our busiest times of the year! We have 130 children enrolled in our summer camp, which provides a full day of educational and recreational support for children in the community. We also are housing missions teams during the summer of almost 100 teenagers per week! We are accomplishing a lot, but summer is also one of the most expensive times of the year for us. The Wade Center has received a grant from the YouthWorks! Foundation to start Second Chance Enterprises. This new ministry will help those who have been out of work for an extended time and need a second chance at entering the workforce. Headed by Adam Ripley, this program will provide job training, references and a good work history for those involved. You can help! We need home improvement projects for Second Chance employees.
